PhiHunter (name may change to a more phage-friendly one, i.e., PhiCollectors, PhiConservatory) is a portal that includes several tools for finding prophages and prophage-like elements within bacterial and archaeal geomes. Currently, the only tool being actively developed is a quick Repeat Finder that finds all repeats (according to user-defined criteria) within a possible phage sequence. Finding repeats helps determine phage attachment sites, in addition to insertion sequences and other transposon-related elements within a prophage.
