PhiSpyis our new algorithm for finding prophages in microbial genomes that combines similarity-based and composition-based strategies. We have compared the output of PhiSpy with phage_finder and prophinder and predictions from these softwares are available here.
We have two directories of data available:
- Manually_Verified: These predictions have been manually verified as being correct. There are three directories, one for predictions from PhiSpy, one for preditions from phage_finder and one for predictions from prophinder.
- Predictions_CR: These predictions are made by PhiSpy using a closely related genome as a training organism. They are high quality predictions.
Each directory contains one sub-directory per genome, and that directory contains one genbank file per prophage. The genbank files should be viewable in any common bioinformatics software.
